Making The Most of Our Services

  • Read the notices posted in the surgery
  • You may not always need to see a doctor; ask what services the practice nurse can provide
  • Keep your appointment or cancel it. Failure to cancel can delay other patients from seeing a clinician for up to two days
  • Take a list of questions as a reminder when you need to see a doctor or nurse
  • Ask your doctor to write down anything that you do not understand
  • Take a relative or friend with you if it helps
  • When booking the appointment tell the receptionist if you think you need more time to speak to the doctor, it may be possible to arrange a longer appointment
  • Think twice before you book an appointment. Perhaps you can try simple home treatments or talk to your pharmacist
  • If you are lucky enough to be very healthy, please consider requesting health check every three years, especially if we have not seen you during this time

Housebound patients with a nursing need can arrange for the services of the district team by contacting the surgery. They can provide help with nursing needs such as wound dressing and also refer to other agencies such as Social Services.

Should you become pregnant, we will be able to arrange for a midwife to help throughout your pregnancy and beyond.

Our Health care assistant will be happy to help with health check up for new and existing patients.
